Our services are covered by most Extended Health Care Plans in BC. We also offer direct billing to many Extended Health Plans. If your insurance company doesn’t allow this, you can submit a claim for reimbursement by mail or online using your treatment receipt. Once your insurance company processes your claim, they will mail you a cheque or send a direct deposit to your bank account.

Some claims may require further processing. In this case, we can submit your claim to your insurance provider, but until confirmation of coverage, you will be responsible for paying the full balance of your treatment. Once your insurance provider confirms your coverage, we will call you and issue a refund.

MSP Medical Services Plan

The Medical Services Plan (MSP) in British Columbia provides funding for acupuncture treatment for those receiving premium assistance. Not sure if you qualify for coverage? Don’t worry; we will confirm this for you and let you know how many treatments you have remaining for the year. Please bring your medical card or personal health number to your initial appointment. A doctor’s referral is NOT required.

MSP covers a combined annual limit of 10 visits for acupuncture treatment. MSP reimburses $23.00 per visit, and for your convenience, we bill MSP directly. You are responsible for the balance of your treatment fees. *We do not accept MSP patients for RMT.

Extended Health Benefits

Extended health benefits vary from plan to plan, typically covering between 70-100% of treatment fees for acupuncture, RMT, and Kinesiology treatments. Some plans offer a fixed annual amount instead of a percentage.

Please consult your benefits booklet or contact your insurance provider to understand the details of your coverage.

Direct Billing to Extended Health Plans

Acupuncture, RMT, and Kinesiology treatments are covered by most Extended Health Care Plans in BC. We now offer direct billing to many Extended Health Plans for Acupuncture and RMT. If your insurance company does not allow this, you can submit a claim for reimbursement by mail or online using your treatment receipt. Once your insurance company processes your claim, they will mail you a check or make a direct deposit to your bank account. (We recommend that you submit your receipts regularly - every 3 months or so is a good habit to get into.) *Please note that insurance companies do not allow direct billing for Kinesiology treatments.

Some claims may require further processing. In this case, we can submit your claim to your insurance provider with the condition of receiving your credit card information for backup payment. Once your insurance provider sends us the confirmation/result of your coverage, we will proceed with the payment and send you a receipt by email. The result from your insurance provider will determine how much it gets charged. This service is free of charge, which means if your benefit covers 100% of the treatment fees, there will be no charge applied to you at all.

ICBC Auto Collision Injury

Acupuncture, Kinesiology (Active Rehab), & RMT

You are eligible for 12 pre-authorized acupuncture, Kinesiology, and RMT treatments for motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries within 12 weeks of the accident date. ICBC will cover care and treatment for drivers, passengers, or pedestrians injured in an MVA. We may extend coverage if additional treatments are needed.

No upfront cash payment is required.

No doctor’s note is necessary.

All we need is your ICBC claim number to proceed with the treatment at no cost.

*Please choose your practitioner carefully, as ICBC does not allow patients to change their practitioner more than 2 times during your approved session.
